M-Stystem Failed in Netac Flash Memory Patent Invalidation Suit

It is reported that on Jan. 7th 2008 the suit case submitted by M-Stystem regarding Netac Flash Memory Patent Invalidation is ruled by the Patent Reexamination Board of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO): Netac Flash Memory Patent keeps valid and M-Stystem loses this lawsuit. Up till now, this patent case was over 4 nears and 7 months. It is improved by the fact that Netac holds the invent patents completely and keeps its authorization in the field of USB flash storage.



M-system, an Israeli company (acquired by SanDisk in November 2006) filed a request for invalidation of Netac Flash Memory Patent with the Patent Reexamination Board of SIPO on June 6th 2003. This suit relates to Chinese patent No. ZL99117225.6 issued to Netac on July 24, 2002. This patent concerns method and apparatus for data processing system used in external flash memory and is taken as the basic patent for flash memory. This case draws comprehensively lots of people from different fields.
